Key Performance Areas

Successful candidates will engage in the following core duties:

• Lecture Preparation and Delivery: Develop course materials, prepare lecture content, and conduct assessments aligned with curriculum requirements.
• Student Assessment: Grade assignments and exams, and provide constructive feedback.
• Administrative Responsibilities: Handle marks, manage records, and fulfill other departmental tasks under the supervision of the Head of Department (HOD).
• Course File Submission: Compile and submit course documentation before and after the semester.
• Additional Responsibilities: Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and other assigned tasks.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for these positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Academic Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Computer Systems, Intelligent Industrial Systems, Electronic Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the specific subject(s) to be taught.

Professional Experience

• A minimum of three years’ teaching experience in higher education or three years of industry-related experience.

Additional Skills

• Familiarity with curriculum development and academic orientation.
• Ability to perform administrative tasks efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Registration with a professional body such as ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) is highly recommended.
